Keith also represented OSFI in other matters related to money laundering and terrorist financing, and in the development of policy initiatives in this area. He was a member of the Canadian delegation with respect to the Financial Action Task Force's mutual evaluation of Canada's AML/ATF regime. He also represented OSFI in consultations with the Department of Finance, and with industry groups, in connection with the most recent amendments to the AML legislation and regulations.
Keith has been a speaker at a number of domestic and international AML/ATF conferences, including the University of Cambridge International Symposium on Economic Crime and the Wolfsberg Group conference in Switzerland. He holds "Top Secret" Canadian government security clearance.
Prior to joining OSFI, Keith was an independent consultant whose clients included the Ontario Securities Commission and the Canadian Capital Markets Association. During his thirty-five year international banking career he held various management positions including Vice President, JP Morgan Chase Canada, Vice President, Northern Trust Canada and President, CEO UBS Trust Canada. In addition to his expert knowledge of AML/ATF, Keith's experience includes treasury operations, correspondent banking, trade finance, personal and institutional trust, securities settlement and global custody services.
